Hi friends and family, our amazing, beautiful, handsome hunk of a man, Zane needs our help!

What started out on Friday April 28th as the most severe headache Zane had ever experienced turned out to be a pituitary hemorrhage, which lead him into emergency brain surgery all within a few short days. Zane’s journey began in Helena where he was quickly put on a Life Flight (airlifted) to Billings to meet his neurology team.  With his life partner (Jimmer), his parents (Marilyn and Reece) and brother (Casey) by his side, this is where it was decided that Zane needed emergency brain surgery.  He underwent this long surgery Monday May 1st.  His amazing neurosurgeon is comfortable with the outcome of his surgery. BUT now our boy must rest and heal. We are hoping to take his focus off his bills and onto his health. We all know how much medical stays can be and they tapped into this man’s brain so who knows what that is going to cost him?! Not to mention his fancy helicopter ride! He will also be taking a significant amount of time away from work to get himself back to the life of the party that we all love and adore.

If you are able to help financially, Zane will have that much more ease in his recovery, and it would be greatly appreciated, below are a few options to do so.

If all you can manage is prayers at this time, we will take all you can give!

Thank you, friends and family!

Updates will be posted here:

May 5-6th:  They had a low key weekend so Zane could rest.  Not their usual go go go.... Zane is healing up nicely and loves all the support he has been getting. Thank you everyone.

May 4th: WE ARE GETTING OUT OF THIS JOINT!!!!!!  PA Fritz has already been in and working on the discharge.   Whoop Whoop!!!  Then our journey home begins.  10:04am: Zane was released from the hospital and is now traveling to Wisdom with Jimmer.

May 3rd: Update for today so far.  Zane woke up feeling good.  Momma Marilyn and Brother Casey headed out the boy was sad!  But the doctor came in and removed the packing in his nose and is breathing better.  Nose is Swollen and that will be around awhile.  If he continues on the this healing path it sounds like he will be sprung tomorrow.  Yay!!!  We will head to Wisdom I can take care of him there, we live at my work and no stairs.  We may have to swing through Helena to pick up some things.  It’s Montana right we drive a lot.  This all depends on how he feels.  We will pick up some curb side groceries in Bozeman so my man doesn’t go hungry.  Thanks all and love you all.

May 2nd 8:48am:Good morning.  Zane says it was a long night but had great care.  He had a CT at 5 ish.  Waiting on Dr Goodman for an update.  He's awake and visiting and guess what...  talking!  I'll or he will update more soon. 4:04pm: He's out.  Dr went In and removed the blood.  Looks like it was old blood.  Not sure cause but could have been a small tumor that had hemorrhaged.  But good outcome.  Has a chunk of his leg inserted to close up things near his pituitary.  He is recovery and am patiently and anxiously waiting to give him hugs and kisses.  Hey tell the papas crew that he got his card and loved reading all the messages.  Made him smile!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️   4:40pm: Ok out of ICU.  Back in his original room 628.  Yay!!!

May 1st 8:20am: Good morning!  Surgery day.  Zane is headed for a CT this morning then headed to surgery this afternoon. Not a confirmed time yet.  Going in under his upper lip into the nasal cavity.  Zane says last night is the best he’s slept.  Still in pain and on the good meds.  He’s talking and fully aware of what’s happening.   Zane’s mom, dad and I are standing by here. Not much else at this time.  The love is felt from you all. 11:03 am: Surgery now.  4.5 hours.

April 30th 8:27am: Dr Goodman was in.  Plan is to go in tomorrow (if OR is available). CT indicated a bigger pocket of blood down toward his nose and drain that.  Nasal endoscopy

April 29th 8:30am: So Dr Goodman was just in.  It is confirmed a small bleed was behind the gland.  Dr says he will monitor it over the weekend, will do another CT later today or tomorrow.   Riding it out to see if the bleed goes away on its own.  He's doing ok.  Sleeping a lot and says he loves everyone. 7:29pm: Hospital Doctor in now. Said we aren't doing anything different.  Pain meds, monitoring, and another MRI and CT tomorrow to check things out.  Nothing surgical can be done right now.  It’s not dire here.  He is in pain but pain meds are being given.  Will meet with the neurosurgeon in the morning and get him to explain things more thoroughly.

April 28th: Zane gets to the ER in Helena about 11:45am. Had a CT scan, then an MRI.  By 4pm he was being loaded on to the helicopter to Billings. He arrived just before 5pm, Jimmer followed by car so he didn't arrive until 7pm to finish the loving care he's been giving since Zane called with the terrible headache that morning.

Updates are given on this page via texts from Jimmer and Marilyn.
